the true needs of the community, so please be patient.

  • Do not go to the scene of a disaster to offer help – unexpected volunteers interfere with response efforts and may put individuals at risk in unsafe areas.
  • Organizational or group volunteers with training are needed most in the days and weeks after a disaster strikes – inquire with your house of worship or local community organization to coordinate volunteer efforts.
  • If you are not affiliated with a voluntary organization, there are opportunities to volunteer with one of our partner organizations.
