The best way to support disaster response and recovery is to register and train NOW with an organization, so you will be ready to support future response and recovery efforts.

  • Organizational or group volunteers with training are needed most in the days and weeks after a disaster strikes – coordinate with your house of worship or local community organization to coordinate volunteer efforts.

  • DO NOT go to the scene of a disaster to offer help. Unexpected volunteers interfere with response efforts and may put individuals at risk in unsafe areas.
